Something about me .:. Algo acerca de mi

{Not many people knows a lot about me. I keep quiet most of the time because I´m shy... or maybe because I think there are not many interesting things about me. During the month of January 2012, the assigment for La Vuelta al Mundo was to take a picture and add words that would tell the world something about ourselves. It was tricky. At first it sounds easy but then, when it´s time to finally get to work and actually write something one is a bit shy. I decided that the way to go for me was to let them know about something I came to love deeply: the ocean, the beach, the waves, the sand... so I chose this picture from a trip to Watch Hill in Rhode Island to tell my story...}

"Algo acerca de mi que no mucha gente sabe es que soy una enamorada de las escenas costeras. Mis favoritos son los faros, las playas solitarias, los caracoles y conchas mezclados con los diseños de encaje que deja la espuma de las olas al romper sobre la arena... estoy armando una lista de playas que quiero volver a visitar y nuevos destinos marítimos para conocer! Espero poder fotografiarlos pronto. Algo acerca de mi: amo las escenas costeras!"

I feel quiet proud of my picture! It is the first photo that gets so much attention, so many "favorites" and a comment from Jackie herself! I´m thinking about printing a larger version of the image and hang it in my room or somewhere in my house.

Tales from New York

New York has something for everybody. I haven´t met a person yet who didn´t enjoy a visit to the city that never sleeps. It´s so big and diverse there´s always something new to discover so one short visit is not enough. I´m already gathering new info about new places I want to visit and photograph in my next visit. Hopefully it´ll be soon. In the mean time, I leave you with a couple of shots from Downtown Manhattan, near Battery Park, South St., Wall St., Trinity Church and the Bull.

Pastel colors

Atlantic City is well known for its many casinos, boardwalks, beaches... For me, it was its colors, the pastel tones on one side of the long boardwalk, the funky wild wild west scenarios and the excentric architecture. There was also a fair and a merry-go-around I was longing to ride but there were many young children in line, so... :)
